Robert Indiana- Skid Row: Three color lithograph printed at Mourlot for Les Editions du XXieme siecle #XLI. Indiana blended geometric shapes, words, numbers and colors to create an arresting and complicated image inspired by his time in New York's then tumultuous Bowery. It also references his seasonal home in the island town of Vinalhaven Maine, which he would eventually move to full time in 1978. Light creasing upper right hand corner.
