Additional Details: Limited edition poster by Gerhard Richter, titled 'Eis 2', published by the Lincoln Center Poster Program in 2003. Printed by Brand X. It has 46 color screens. 5 dents in the margin of the poster. 1 along the top, 3 along the bottom and one in the left hand margin. The image is not affected. Richter's idea of style is the enjoyment of no style at all. "I like everything that has no style," he says, "dictionaries, photographs, nature, myself and my paintings. Because style is violent, and I am not violent." His abstract paintings, to him, are a result of a blind, desperate effort to create something that lacks a name but is, ultimately, something meaningful.
