David Hockney- Garrowby Hill
David Hockney- Garrowby Hill: Hockney returned to his native Yorkshire in the 1990s and was inspired by the countryside he found there. Interpreting it through the lens of early 20th century artists such as Matisse and Van Gogh, utilizing a vibrant color pallet and bold brushstrokes, as opposed to his much more meticulous Pop Art work. The original oil painting was completed in 1998. This is an official poster from The Museum of Fine Arts Boston where the painting now hangs.
