Plate #2 "Madonna and Donor (an Ecclesiastic)", in a Gothic portico. The drapery of the man adoring and the landscape unfinished. According to L. Kammerer a drawing for the Madonna at Louvain. The original was done with silver point on paper with a white ground.

Plate # 28 "A Cow Calving": The dim atmosphere of the cowshed and the light and shadow produced by the candle are fully achieved by the simplest means. The signature "Paulus Potter f" is genuine. The original was done with black chalk on brown paper, heightened with white.
